Mom's next visit to Virginia

I will arrive in Virginia about 5:30 PM Friday , July 25th and will be returning to Colorado Tuesday, July 29th.
We will go see Stephen Sat and return Sunday. I have Monday, July 28th open to see you.

Learning new stuff

Hi family, I posted that picture of Daegan that I took at Jenny's when I was home last. I'm learning how to post pictures, video, text via my cell phone to our little blog site. Which is kind of cool, cuz then I can update it away from the computer.

I did this using this Web site called www.utterz.com. It was pretty simple, so I thought I'd let you all know about it (so that Sarah can send pictures of her puppies and Jen, pictures of the kids...right from her phone.)

oooo...and it could mean that we can get Steve updating the site using his cell phone!

Brad and I are at a seminar to learn about shooting video and learning new online tools to use for work.
I was really excited to shoot and edit a video of Brad eating lunch yesterday, thought I'd share it with the fam. I later interviewed Brad about his lunch and what he liked best about it, but I couldn't get the interview off of the camera to edit into this video...so that's why it's about Brad eating lunch quietly. Here it is:

Thansgiving Family Gathering

Dad brought up the fact the other day that it is not too soon to start thinking about the holidays. I have checked at work and do not have to work Thanksgiving this year. We are thinking if anyone is interested it might be a good time to gather--of course if you already have other plans or traditions we will understand. What are all your thoughts on this? Dad suggested we could go out to eat. I told Dad i would "put it" out on the blog for all to begin thinking about and to come out with ideas.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, i will go continue trying to put things away.

Steve's July visit

Heya, just talked to Steve, he said he'll be in Virginia Thursday, July 3 through Saturday, July 5. I asked him if it'd be OK if we planned a get-together for him, possibly on July 4. Would anybody be interested in Stevie-Festivities? Let me know what you think!

Hi famb-ily,
Thanks so much for coming up to the farm this weekend. Brad and I are enjoying all of the leftover food - including the delicious mac-n-cheese and pies that Sarah left behind. Sarah took this week's Picture of the Week (which I've been lazy about updating, cuz I'm not much of a photographer) it's of our little black hen who just had some peeps. She's such a good mom, and I put her up there in honor of our own Little Mother Hen (who looked oh-so fashionable this weekend).
Steve says he's coming home the weekend of July 4, which means I'm coming down to VA. to see him. Let me know if any of you will be around for some hang time.

Wanted to know is I could get directions?...Also wanted to know if Jen's Fam, and Laura's Fam were Caravaning....or if people are just gonna trickle up to BBQ.....also What time does BBQ start...I forgot.....and Last I plan on bringing a large Bowl of homemade Mac and Cheese.....that's my contribution....and I am sure Lukas will contribute something as well....Just don't know what yet......Cannot wait to see everyone....Should be fun times.....Love Sarah

Barbecue update

Hi everyone, in response to Jen's question about food at the barbecue, I'd say there's no pressure to bring anything.

Brad and I will provide meat, buns, condiments, drinks, etc.

If you can bring a side - like a salad, chips or dessert, that would be lovely.

We're totally excited to have everybody up. Kristi has been fixing up her back yard, and the pool is looking really nice. Don't forget to bring your bathing suits.
